Intuitive Directional Learning through a Consciousness Journey

The consciousness journey is an ongoing, ever-deepening, expanding journey with no final destination. It is an adventure; a magnificent unfolding in the greatest magnitude. We don’t necessarily know where it is going to take us, but on some deep level we know that it is going to be worthwhile.

We come into this life with lessons to learn and gifts to give. Consciousness growth happens naturally as a part of every being’s evolution. Through our personal commitment to the process of our own growth and evolution, we are not only transforming ourselves, we are transforming the world.

Life is fundamentally a journey of evolution, a journey of consciousness, a journey of growing awareness. It is about becoming aware of and understanding as much as we can about ourselves, others, life and the universe. Life is a learning experience in which every single thing that happens to us can be seen as a potential gift to help us develop our full potential.

Learning
Learning itself is a progressive discovery. Learning implies a love of understanding. There is much more to learn than any of us can learn in a single lifetime. There are only the frontiers of knowledge that we set for ourselves and it is up to us to break them and expand.

Learning is inquiry - an eagerness to find out - and is really only a movement from one question into deeper questioning.

The wise are aware of their own ignorance. As Socrates once said, ‘I know that I do not know.’

The moment you say, “I know” you stagnate, and life is not going to wait for you. Life is not static. On the contrary, life is impermanent and constantly moving like the flowing river.

Our Inner Teacher and Guide
We are all born into this world with an ‘intuitive guidance‘. When we are connected to our own intuition, we have access to a source of clarity, wisdom, and direction, right inside us at all times.

But many people have been thoroughly conditioned against trusting their intuition - and did not receive much support or encouragement in trusting their own gut feelings. In fact, many of us were actively taught not to trust ourselves but instead to follow an external authority, often in the form of rules and dogma. Or we were encouraged to be rational - to the exclusion of our intuitive faculties. So sometimes the journey also involves a process of ‘un-learning’ habits that have prevented us from being able to sense what is true and right for us in our lives. We have to let go of our conditioned belief systems for they create stagnated boundaries that inhibit self development.

People forget to think for themselves and listen to their own inner teacher and guide and they spend a lifetime chasing a guide or teacher outside themselves. They give away their inner power to an external authority and conform, accept and follow like a sheep.

In today’s society, many people are looking for the instant fix, cure or magic recipe for ‘instant enlightenment‘. And too many promise that ‘enlightenment’ can be had, once and for all, simply by following their prescription, that if you read this book, attend this workshop, practice this mediation, follow this diet or this program, your life will be healed, your problems cured, miracle will happen, and you will never again have any difficulties in your life.

How nice it all sounds. But the consciousness journey does not offer an instant destination it is LIFELONG. In fact, it may be many lives long. Consciousness is not a destination at which we finally arrive, It is an ongoing, ever-deepening, infinitely expanding process.

We don’t find our way by avoiding, skipping over, or running away from anything or by giving away our inner power. On the contrary, understanding arises within from direct observation and direct experience and sometimes this can be perceived as a painful process but it is not…it is the path to self and inner growth. All of those avoidance tactics merely surpress issues and create energetic blockages within us.

There are no outside authorities who can take the journey for you. There are no holy texts or priests, ministers, or gurus who can do the journey for you. There is no dogma to follow. Instead, our primary guidance must come from our inner source.

Traditional masters, gurus and other people may inspire you and be able to teach you a great deal about the journey, but they cannot teach YOUR journey, because you can only learn by travelling it yourself. There are teachers who can help us with certain aspects of the journey. However, there is no one who has already ‘made it’ on this journey because we are ALL still learning.

The pitfall in relating to teachers or leaders of any kind is the tendency we have to give too much of our power away to them. When we haven’t yet fully recognized and owned our inner wisdom, goodness, creativity, and power, we tend to project these qualities onto our mentors and teachers.

Many people become dependent on external authorities or other people. They put them on a pedestal. The followers become hypnotic enslaved in the hope for ‘instant enlightenment’ - that someone else has all the answers. They put their primary attention and energy into external sources, when they already have it all within them.

Hopefully, as one grows and becomes more aware, they will recognize that these qualities reside in themselves, and begin to claim them more and more as their own.

A clear and wise teacher helps and supports us in the process of owning our own power. Such a teacher encourages us to take independent steps, not to follow them. They do not claim to know ALL the answers but are offering skills to help us find those answers ourselves. They are in our lives to help us develop, strengthen, and deepen our relationship to our own inner teacher.

Unfortunately, there are many teachers, gurus, therapists who are overly attached to being in a power position with their students or clients, or to having their clients remain dependent for too long. This takes care of certain emotional, and often financial, needs on the part of the leader, but it inhibits or severely impairs the growth and empowerment process of the client or student.

Be aware of anyone who claim to have ALL the answers, who regard themselves as more enlightened or farther along the path than anyone else, or who generally seem to have an inflated sense of themselves. They may be very developed in certain areas, and have much to share, but we need to be cautious and maintain a healthy relationship - not a dependent relationship.

A healthy way is to recognize that person as a mirror of your own inner qualities. If you admire someone for his or her wisdom, love, power or whatever, recognize that you have those exact qualities within you and that you are drawn to this person as a reflection of the parts of yourself that you need and want to develop.

In a very real way we are each other’s teachers and mirrors, reflecting each other’s process. Some people are more developed in certain ways and can teach the rest of us what they have learned. However, each person’s journey is unique, so ultimately no one but you knows what you need to do.

Even question me. Do not just believe what I say or write. Discover for yourself.

Do not fear the unknown. Move into deeper levels of awareness. Embrace it ALL and have faith that whatever happens in your life is an opportunity to learn, grow and understand. Embrace the opportunities for growth and grow in great measure into the being you are capable of being, realizing your HIGHEST & FULLEST potential.

Sometimes the journey appears tough. At other times it is easy and fun. There are moments of clarity and inspiration. And there are moments that are dark and scary. The important thing is not to focus on the destination, because there is no final end point. We need to appreciate the journey itself, so that every step and every moment in the process of learning, growth and expansion becomes its own rich reward.

By being committed to our own growth, we are affecting other people either consciously or unconsciously and the world around us. There are generations whose very lives will be shifted and shaped by the moves we make and the actions we take. As we discover and express more and more of our innate potential, our personal reality changes to reflect our shifts in consciousness. So the world around us changes as we change. And since we are all linked through the mass consciousness, as we grow we affect everyone else in the world.

‘There is a silent revolution going on within a seeming chaos of changes on earth. One by one, people around the world are awakening to an energy and power that is transforming the course of humanity. An inner impulse is driving us forward and asking us to evolve beyond our current reality.‘ - Harold W. Becker

The consciousness journey is infinite. The only limits that exist are the ones in your mind - and you can break them at any time.

Learn, grow and evolve.

Make your own journey of discovery.

Discover for yourself.

You have the key to open your own door.
